The entire supervisory committee must attend the dissertation defense. When necessary, there may be one MSE graduate faculty substitute, except for the supervisory committee chair or the external member. No one may substitute for either of those members. A list of pertinent deadlines that are enforced by the Graduate School are available in the Academic Services office or in 168 Grinter Hall.
The student must also have two sets of original dissertation signature pages signed by the committee members in black ink. It is the student's responsibility to obtain all of the signatures on the signature pages. More information regarding signature pages can be obtained from the Editorial Office in 168 Grinter Hall.
Students must also submit final copies of the dissertation to the Academic Services Office, the College of Engineering Dean's Office and the Graduate School by the appropriate deadlines.
