The University of Florida honors faculty who bring distinction to the university through their outstanding commitment to teaching, scholarship, service, research and creative activity.  Each year the Provost’s Office offers the Excellence Awards for Assistant Professors. The awards are focused on junior faculty and recognize excellence in research. Each award comes with a one-time allocation of $5,000 in support of the awardees research.  This year, the Provost office selected Dr. Josephine Allen as the recipient of this prestigious award.
