Each year, the SUN program aims to show undergraduate students that study engineering the opportunities that nanotechnology offers in the areas of energy, biotechnology, and other sectors of industry. This year's SUN program focused on "Nano-Based Solutions: From Problem to Product".

Students spent most of their time visiting numerous facilities and labs, including:

  • Advanced Materials Lab (AML)
  • Center for Integrated Nanotechnology (CINT)
  • External sensor field
  • Microsystems and Engineering Science Applications (MESA) Facility
  • Solar Thermal Facility
