Attendees of the 50th Anniversary
On October 2nd and 3rd, we celebrated the department's 50th anniversary. We held a reception at the Harn Museum on Friday evening, where our guests enjoyed drinks, hors d'œuvres, and spectacular exhibits.
We kicked off Saturday with a history of the department given by Robert DeHoff and Rolf Hummel, followed by research updates, alumni talks, and tours of the labs. Guests enjoyed lunch after we took a 50th Anniversary photo, and everyone got to see our alumni wall unveiled. Saturday evening we wrapped up the celebration with a banquet in the Touchdown Terrace.
Everyone had a wonderful time, and we are so glad that we had such a great turn out for the celebration. We missed everyone who couldn't attend.
